Year of Film: 2014
For real, I have never been so obsessed with movies as I am right now. I mean I have always been a real big movie buff but this year (all 4 weeks of it) I have taken it to a new level. I'm pretty sure my boyfriend is thinking of avoiding me so I won't drag him to the cinema anymore!
But in all seriousness, 2014 is THE YEAR for movies. So far we have been graced with 'The Wolf of Wall Street,' '12 Years A Slave' and 'American Hustle' to name but a few.
So I went and saw American Hustle 2 weeks ago, and although the acting was phenomenal, I was a little disappointed in terms of the plot. It was not what I expected. Going by the ads on TV I thought it was about something else altogether, but anyway I still think it came together very well and overall is worthy of all the nominations it was received this awards season. Christian Bale was almost unrecognisable with that bulge! However great to see him step out of the 'Batman' hype and try out other roles, challenging himself. Amy Adams as the lead co star.. hmm. A lot of boob and a very annoying english accent that got boring after about 10 minutes. Jennifer Lawrence is fantastic in it and to be honest its refreshing seeing her playing a legitimate woman rather than the 16 year old Katniss I am quite used to. The singing scene with her son in the movie is just great and really draws in the true personality of Lawrence, a funny, very relatable young woman who loves to have a good time. I would love to see Jennifer Lawrence in more comedic roles to be honest as from what I can see in interviews and on red carpet events she is absolutely hilarious and it is just so natural!
The film also starred Bradley Cooper as the FBI agent with a screw loose and a tight perm, just a generally funny character. The thing that I didn't like though was that the story just didn't piece together in some places and I was turning to my boyfriend a lot questioning a lot of things.

Co Star Jonah Hill who plays scammer Donnie Azoff revealed in an interview this week that he received only $60,000 for his role which included over 7 months of filming!! Which is a meagre amount in comparison to his Aviator co-star who apparently received in excess of $10 million!!! REALLY? Hill of course didn't care about the money, (he has that much of it!) but was so thankful to have a chance to work with Martin Scorcese he would have done it for free! I think we can all relate right?
To see Hill in such a supporting role, where he was able to incorporate his comedic background into such a serious role while wearing ridiculous outfits and huge fake teeth was a performance worthy of an Academy Award. Oh wait, he is nominated for one!
A personal highlight of the movie for me is the scene with the out of date drugs where which is absolutely hilarious in its entirety!
Oh I almost forgot. Margot Robbie is smoking in this! From little old Donna in neighbours to starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio is a huge career step and one I am totally jealous yet proud of! I am so shocked by her being able to pull of the New Jersey accent as she is Australian but wow she pulled that accent off! Just wow!
OVERALL; A must see for anyone.. who is above 18 might I add! Not for minors eyes kids!

Okay, now for 12 Years A Slave... I haven't seen it yet. However I will give you the low down on what I think of it as soon as I do.

Beyonce pregnant with baby No.2?
Speculation is rife that Queen B is pregnant with Baby no.2.
Multiple sources have somewhat 'confirmed' the pregnancy but we won't believe anything until we hear it straight from her mouth!
Beyonce sent the rumour mill into a frenzy when she cancelled one of her shows citing 'exhaustion and dehydration' as the reasoning behind it but others believed it was because she is pregnant!
She was also spotted carrying a much rounded belly in photos of her recent gig in London, making those rumours seem all that more viable.
Apparently her fashion disaster at the Met Ball earlier this year was in order to conceal her growing bump.
However, in a recent turn in events, Beyonce has posted a photo in Instagram, seeming to be aimed at those sources 'confirming' her pregnancy.
The photo is shown below saying; I can't stop the rumours from starting and I can't really change peoples minds who believe them, all I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than to talk about me.'
Hmm, attack as the best form of defense maybe?

Cara in Cannes
The opening ceremony of Cannes Film Festival kicked off the other night with some of Hollywoods hottest names hitting the catwalk.
Among the stars was our very own home grown Cara Delevingne who stunned and dazzled in a beautiful Burberry gown and of course those brows!

Khroma no mora!
Kim, Kourtney and Khloe have decided to rebrand their Khroma makeup line as 'Kardashian Beauty' in a bid to avoid a $10 million law suit.
Despite the announced changes, the original website www.khromabeauty.com and the official facebook page are still operating. However it is thought that they will now begin the costly process of rebranding as some products were already produced and being promoted
It all started in June when Lee Tillet, the founder of Khroma Makeup, sent a cease-and-desist letter to Boldface Group Inc, the branding company behind the Kardashian's Khroma line, accusing it of stealing the 'Khroma' name.
Mrs Tillet set up her company in 2004 and trademarked the name Kroma in 2010 which means 'colour' in Greek and sued the Kardashians for $10 million claiming that the KHroma company would cause confusion in the marketplace.
And it would seem that the judge agreed as the Kardashians did change it!

Woman in Black
90210 star Shenae Grimes married her British model boyfriend yesterday in a quiet ceremony in England.
The actress has been dating model, Josh Beech, since last year and got engaged in September.
Shenae, who plays Annie Wilson in the teen series, tweeted a photo of the happy couple kissing yesterday with the caption, ' I now pronounce us Mr. and Mrs. Beech! Ahhh! Xx'
However, rather than opting for a traditional white gown, she instead settled on a black Vera Wang gown.
The Josephine gown from Vera Wang's Fall 2012 Collection features a V-neck halter dress, laced bodice and a layered tulle skirt.
It seems that she will have more time to carry out her 'wifely' duties with 90210 not being renewed for a 6th season.
The popular series which debuted in 2008 will come to an end when the fifth season finale airs on May 18th and we hear its going to be a good one!

Kate Upton lands first US Vogue cover
After being heavily criticised for having hips, boobs and a bum Kate Upton has defied critics who laughed at her dreams of moving from swimwear to couture, by landing her first US Vogue cover.
Having previously graced the covers of Vogue Italia and Vogue UK ,the 20 year old landed the front cover of the June issue where she is heralded as 'the hottest supermodel on Earth.'
In the accompanying interview, the magazine praised Kate her down to earth attitute and happy personality and Kate also took the chance to defend herself against all those god awful critics, '' The things that they're rejecting are things that I can't change. I can't change my bra size,' she said.
'They're natural! I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can't change some things.
'I really just live my life. I love my body. It's what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great.''
Following her cover on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in 2012, she shot to fame after performing the 'Cat Daddy' by the Rej3ctz in a video which went viral and has since amassed more than 16 million views.
'I didn’t buy the magazines that had models on the covers, because I didn’t know them. So I think this kind of gives me, as a model, a personality that people can connect with,' she explains.
Kate is hoping that her career will see her working in films and designing lingerie, as well as modelling.
'I never set out to be on the runway', she said. 'I feel like I trust my career path. I would love to have my own lingerie line'
Last year she was rejected by a casting agent for the Victoria Secret runway show.

Shoot out shuts down J-Lo's video shoot
Rumour has it a shoot out has forced J-Lo to shut down the shooting of her new music video temporarily.
Gun shots were heard about 400 yards from where the star is filming her latest video in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. However, a security team swooped the star to safety before any harm could become of her.
Police arrived at the scene shortly thereafter but the shooter (s) have not been found although several people were detained at the scene.
Lopez is in the sunny state to film scenes for her upcoming song release 'Live It Up' featuring rapper Pitbull and was filming a segment with Entertainment Tonight when the shots were heard.
Fortunately, she is safe and well and filming will commence shortly!

Cara caught with cocaine!
Rumour has it model of the moment Cara Delevingne is fond of the coke.. and not the cola kind!
The 20 year old was spotted dropping a sachet of white powder which suspiciously resembles the drug of choice of her idol, Kate.
Photographers report she rushed to cover the sachet with her foot before scooping it into her handbag but not before they caught the money shot!
If these reports are confirmed, it will seriously tarnish her reputation in the fashion world, especially with clothing giant H&M who have a 'zero tolerance' policy towards drugs and rumour has it, they're investigating this mishap!
Time will only tell what this will do for Miss Delevigne..
